LaFox, IL, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 – Richardson Electronics, Ltd. (NASDAQ: RELL) announced today the availability of the REdi 4.0 remote diagnostics system for use with CO2 lasers.
REdi 4.0 was developed by Richardson Electronics to monitor the vital signs of an RF generator in a CO2 laser. It enables accurate recordkeeping and threshold-based email alerts that can prevent the costly downtime that is common with conventional, reactive telediagnostics.
The new remote diagnostics system allows customers to proactively monitor the health of the generator. It identifies problems and predicts the optimum time to replace the RF tube, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing functional life cycle.
REdi 4.0 uses a smart software agent that monitors the RF generator’s analog values while the laser is on and wirelessly transmits data efficiently and securely to a central server. Out-of-range readings trigger an automated email alert, and customers can log-into a web portal for additional details or contact the REdi 4.0 support team.
